Video trailer for Sven Helbig’s ‘I Eat The Sun And Drink The Rain’

Monday 8th August 2016

Sven Helbig is one of the biggest talents in the pool of composers of the new generation. He is known for his residence at Deutsches Nationaltheater in Weimar but also for his creative collaborations with artists of other genres such as hard rock band Rammstein or the Pet Shop Boys. He just released the video trailer for his newest piece: the album I Eat The Sun And Drink The Rain introduces bewitching, delicate choral voices and a fascinating sound.

The album features the Baroque-specialists Vocalconsort Berlin, one of the most renowned German choirs, conducted by cosmopolite conductor Kristjan Järvi whose concerts have been proclaimed a “life-enhancing experience” (The Herald, Scotland).

I Eat The Sun And Drink The Rain will be released on 9th September 2016 on Berlin-based record label Neue Meister (Berlin Classics / Edel Germany). The album will be premiered live at the Reeperbahn Festival in Hamburg, Germany on 23rd September 2016 and will then go on tour. You can pre-order the album here.
