Trinity Buoy Wharf meets Boy George tonight in East London

Thursday 13th February 2014

Venue and Arts hub Trinity Buoy Wharf is hosting a collaborative exhibition called ‘Synthesis’ which will take place tonight, the 13th February. It will be a mixed-media exhibition including pieces by Boy George. Better known as a DJ and international musician, Boy George will be showcasing his other creative talents as part of ‘Synthesis’ which is taking place in the Electrician’s Shop Gallery.

When speaking about the passion he has for his screen prints and photography, Boy George said: “photography is a way of capturing the past and the moment and redesigning it. I like the Hollywood approach to glamour. The camera tells great big lies and I love to make people look how they dream themselves to be”

There are 12 other artists taking part including John Humphreys, a sculptor who has studied with the Royal Academy and has shown work around the globe bringing a twist of vision and a fresh approach to his practice, a much respected artist who is always forward thinking.

The exhibition is a free event and is on tonight between 6.30pm – 9.30pm at Trinity Buoy Wharf, 64 Orchard Place, London, E14 0JY.
