Monday 11th March 2013

Since its launch in 1999 Tarisio has become a leading source of fine and rare stringed instruments. With offices in London and New York they sell over 2,000 string instruments and bows a year, successfully combining traditional auction services with the ease and efficiency of online sales, becoming renowned and respected by musicians and collectors around the world. In addition to their fine instrument sales, Tarisio offer Speculative and Restorable sales, auctioning a range of items in need of work at highly attractive prices. In 2011, Tarisio sold The ‘Lady Blunt’ Stradivarius violin on behalf of the Nippon foundation for $15.9m. WildKat PR will be working with Tarisio on their international PR along with marketing and branding strategies.

The current Tarisio auction, based from their London office, is online now and runs until March 26th. Highlights of this sale include a fine Italian violin by Giuseppe Guarneri ‘Filius Andrea’, 1711, and a beautiful Giovanni Battista Ceruti violin from 1810.
