Booking for the 2014 BBC Proms opens tomorrow and like a lot of you, we’ve already budgeted well over a month’s rent for tickets. But we thought we’d each try and narrow it down to just one totally unmissable Prom. It was tough, and amazingly none of our picks were duplicates.

Our highlights include Prom 5 with the Tonhalle Orchestra and Julia Fischer; Prom 22 – the War Horse Prom; Prom 26 with the EUYO under Semyon Bychkov; Prom 48  – Jonathan Biss with the Iceland Symphony Orchestra; The Budapest Festival Orchestra in Prom 52; Marin Alsop’s return for Prom 63 after her triumphant appearance at the LNOTP last summer, and the Orkney inspired Prom 70.
