Women Make Music featured on Night and Day, the Spectator Arts Blog

Friday 11th March 2011

On March 8th, International Women’s Day, PRS for Music Foundation launched Women Make Music, a new funding initiative for female music creators. The opportunity, which offers up to £5,000 funding to each successful application was featured on The Spectator’s Arts Blog, Night and Day. The article, written by Juliana Farha, explores women in the arts and calls for more female role models to inspire future generations of composers and musicians. Read her article here and find out more about Women Make Music on PRS for Music Foundation’s website. This evening, PRS for Music Foundation and Birds Eye View Film Festival celebrate the launch of Women Make Music with a drinks reception at the Southbank Centre, ahead of a live music to silent film performance at the Women of the World Festival which features music by Imogen Heap.
