British composer Thomas Farnon is further establishing his solo cinematic style after releasing two albums and working on over 50 films, TV shows and adverts in the last decade.
Working closely with Hans Zimmer, Lorne Balfe and Rupert Gregson-Williams on their filmic work, Thomas has taken this experience to craft his own unique voice. With a focus on transporting the listener to a warm and inviting place, Thomas creates soundscapes and pieces that are emotionally striking and awash with texture and colour, using instrumentation from vast orchestras to intimate piano.
Following on from his previous releases, ‘A’ and ‘Reverie’, Thomas explores the subtlety and beauty of the choral voice on his new album ‘Solace’, released in Summer 2019. Using the words of English poet William Blake, this album plays with dreamlike states in words, sounds and music, combining all three elements to draw the listener into a form of escapism.
In 2018, Thomas founded his own independent label, Chromium Music Group, established as a platform to release artistic concept albums with cinematic values. Thomas works from his studio in London.
WildKat are excited to be working with Thomas on Press and PR in the coming months.
