Thomas Farnon’s new single ‘Protest’ out today

Friday 13th November 2020

The single is an emotional orchestral anthem and a tribute to everyone who is fighting for what they believe in

‘Protest’ is a poignant, apolitical piece from composer Thomas Farnon, exploring unification and the passion that people feel when coming together to protest and achieve real, lasting change.

The piece was conceived in lockdown, composed and developed over around two months, before being recorded with a live triple orchestra and virtuosic soloists – a truly special moment in these times.

After the success of his last release, Solace, a choral album inspired by states of being, exploring emotions and life stories , Farnon now sees over 100,000 monthly listeners on Spotify, and millions of streams every year into an experience of musical escapism.

The single is released today through Chromium Music Group and is available on all digital platforms.

Working out of his studio in London, recent projects have included the score to Yemi Bamiro’s “One Man and His Shoes” premiering at the BFI London Film festival in October 2020, Shaan Shahid’s “Zarrar” and Dael Poulter’s upcoming documentary about David Haye, “Portrait of a Fighter.”

From 2010- 2016 Thomas worked frequently with Lorne Balfe, Rupert Gregson-Williams and Hans Zimmer whilst contributing additional music for films such as: ‘The Legend of Tarzan’, ‘Hacksaw Ridge’, ‘The Ridiculous 6’, ‘Wonder Woman’ and ‘Churchill’.

The release of ‘Protest’ on the 13 November pre-empts the release of a new album in 2021. WildKat has been working on the press and playlisting for Thomas’ release, following a successful campaign for the release of Solace last year.
